Default RIZAL BLADE PINALOS

Hello friends,

A newly commissioned blade. A gift from a bladesmith from the Province of Rizal (who does most of out blade restorations).

Before the pandemic struck, my father was invited to a local baptism in that area. And while having a good time with the bladesmith's relatives, stories of a supposedly 'pinalos' Rizal blade had existed(?)

This is the modern rendition of that supposed to be blade profile. It looks almost the same as a binakuko-EXCEPT that the tip of the blade is shaped like a tail of an EEL (Palos in Tagalog-Pilipino). Hence, 'pinalos.'

Enjoy

Yves
