Default Etching surprise on a talibon

Hello all,

When I first recieved my Talibon it was in a sorry state so I set out to restore this little beauty. I used hybrid polishing to and got the blade up to 1200.

After this I wondered what would happen if I gave it an etch the same way I would do a japanese blade to see if there was a temper line or hamon.

The method I used was to firstly heat up the blade on a radiator, then dab a solution of hot vinegar and a drop of dishwasher soap onto the blade.

Here are my results!
