Walrus ivory, which other similar examples reportedly have. Or possibly bone.
The fuller section looks to be inserted. I was initially inclined to think acid etching, but there is quite a contrast between the colours of the metal in that section. Last edited by Jon MB; 7th October 2017 at 08:46 PM. |
