Default Omani Khanjar for sale

Hi Guys,

I'm not a dealer, but now I have too much stuff.
I decided to sell first through this forum, if it doesn't work then I will go like others on the famous website...
I won't put any price.
Just make an offer through private messages, no emails.
I will answer only to the serious offers, that's the deal.
If you don't receive an answer that's because I'm not interested.
I will post only to North America, Western Europe and Australia.
I'm not responsible of any taxes.
I don't take back the object, what you see is what you get.

I offer for sale this fine Arab Jambiya Khanjar dagger from Oman, in the royal style known as Saidi . Total length 31cm/ 12,2 inches.
The hilt is silver in the classical “I” shaped.
The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with green fabric.
The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of 7 rings and twisted wire. All scabbard and hilt fittings are chased in a typical design.
Fine quality metal decoration to the entire front of the sheath, with scrolled wire and filigree work very well executed. The reverse side faced with green fabric, the blade double edged and curving of good steel.
It has a well forged, 15,5cm/ 6,2 inches long, curved and dual edge blade with a thickened central ridge.

Only problem reported, glue in the belt to maintain the side rings.
But this glue is original and was added in the making process.

Be aware this object is not an antique.
It's not a 19th century item, but a late 20th century dagger.
Dating to the 1970's
A very nice quality dagger that has nothing to do with the bad copies made in India
and that has nothing to do with the cheap presentation daggers (in box) that you can find nowadays.

See the same for reference in Hermann Historica catalogue, May 2015, page 234-235

Saidi jambiya with a hilt of a very original shape.
Very good condition, complete and very decorative item.

Best wishes,
Kubur
