Pakayan, or what???
Here is a sword that I got in a trade from Kino a few years ago. The blade has some characteristics of a pakayan except for the cutout at the base of the blade. The blade is 24 inches long, 30 inches overall. No scabbard. The base of the handle is covered with embossed silver with a dark horn spacer. The wooden pommel looks to be the open mouth naga with protruding tongue as is found in some Nias pommels. Overall, this sword just has a Borneo feel to it, but i'm just not sure........Dave.
