Default Sudan Mahdist daggers

Hi

Thought those forumites with an African interest would like to see these daggers, both with their hilts engraved with reference to the famous Battle of Abu Klea, 17th September 1885. This took place during the British attempt to rescue General Gordon from the siege at Khartoum...

No guarantee of course that the inscriptions have not been added spuriously, but they seem contemporary with the daggers.

As always, comments are welcome.
