Exhibition ‘Treasures of the Kremlin' in Dresden
I have visited yesterday a new exhibition in the Royal Palace of Dresden ‘Treasures of the Kremlin from Ivan the Terrible to Peter the Great’:
http://www.skd.museum/en/special-exh...ent/index.html There are many really stunning Ottoman, Persian and Russian arms and armor pieces! Two printed catalogues of the exhibition (full, 328 pages, and a small, with highlights) are available: ‘Zwischen Orient und Okzident: Kunstschätze des Kreml von Iwan dem Schrecklichen bis Peter dem Großen’. Also, on February 19 the European collection of the Dresdner Armory will be presented in the same palace in a new hall: http://www.skd.museum/en/museums-ins...ury/index.html And the famous Türckische Cammer http://www.skd.museum/en/museums-ins...mer/index.html is there as well, making a visit to the Royal Palace of Dresden a must! |
