Default How about small sized belosapac Yataghans

Well here are two of our small sized walrus hilt yats. They are widely considered common Balkan items. Does anybody know why are they so small? Could they be child yats? As I we heard that during 19 century in this part of the world kids would receive their own yat at the age of 12.
I post a second pic with normal sized yataghans for comparation
