I GOOGLED AROUND SEARCHING MALDIVE ISLANDS TO SEE IF I COULD PIN DOWN A POSSIBLE DATE OR SULTAN WHO ENJOYED MARTIAL ARTS AND ESPECIALLY SPEAR FIGHTING TOURINAMENTS. NO LUCK
BUT THE RULE OF THE SULTANS ENDED IN 1932 SO THESE SPEARS MAY DATE BEFORE THEN UNLESS THEY ARE STILL BEING MADE. ALL OF THEM I HAVE SEEN HAVE BEEN OLD NOT NEW. THE SULTANS OLD PALACE IS NOW THE NATIONAL MUSEUM IT IS LOCATED ON MALE ISLAND WHICH IS THE LARGEST CITY. THE MALDIVES ARE NOTED FOR THEIR BEACHES AND GOOD SCUBA DIVING.
I HAVE ADDED SOME PICTURES OF SPEAR HEADS. THIS FORM HAS A SOCKET WITH TWO LONG STRAPS TO SECURE IT TO THE SHAFT AND HELP PROTECT AND REINFORCE THE SHAFT.
