Illanun kampilan with scabbard!

Up for sale this 19th c. Illanun kampilan!

Total length: 101 cm (39,76 inches).

Pommel is Borneo style of type.

Dissimilar wooden crossguard with beautifull carvings from both sides.
On each side, between the floral motifs, a clear face is visible...
Original iron handguard still present.

Blade shows nice lamination and one talismanic brass dot at the tip.

The scabbard is old and has Borneo carvings! Not original to the kampilan, but it fits perfectly as it was made for it!
