Default African axe and Knobkerrie

Recently bought these two items (seperately).I would be grateful for any information.

The axe has a forged head, the shaft has burnt (?) decoration with hand carved circles. Nicely balanced. Seems too good for a Tourist item .....dance axe or weapon? Possible origins ?? Early - mid 20th C ??....OAL 47 cms (18.5")

The knobkerrie is well used....seems to have a 'root ball' head. Has good balance, age cracking and a lanyard hole. Again 'burnt' decoration... OAL 66cms (26") ball end widest 7cms (nearly 3") Mid 20th C ? Any ideas for possible origin.

Thank you

Regards David
