A Swiss (Engineering?) Sword - Ethnographic Arms & Armour

Atlantia Member Join Date: Jun 2008 Location: The Sharp end Posts: 2,928	Lovely condition, are you sure its Swiss? Did the Swiss copy or Import the hilts from the French? Isn't this a pioneer variation of the French 1831 Artillery Gladius? It is in amazing condition. This specific variation is not one I'm familiar with. The only swiss one I can find pictures of is: Welcome to the forums by the way Are there any other stamped marks on the hilt under the leather washer?
