Default Input on this recent acquisition - Luzon? Age?

Thought I’d share this recent addition. Curved single edged blade, chisel ground (may not be obvious in photos). Tang extends through hilt with brass pommel, wire ring attached to pommel. Cylindrical horn hilt, loose. Large guard of ferrous metal. Leather sheath with embossed decoration. Blade is 39cm with overall length 49cm.

Is this from Luzon or elsewhere in the Philippines? I guess the chisel ground blade is throwing me off. I feel this might be an early 20th century piece, possibly one of the oldest in my collection. Would like to see similar examples.
