Default Nice old Mandaya bolo and scabbard

A nice old Mandaya bolo from Mindanao, in good condition and with its traditional up-turned scabbard. This one does not have the small protrusion just below the hilt, which is associated with old examples prior to about 1900. I would place this example as made in the first quarter of the 20th C.

Acacia wood hilt is of a traditional utilitarian style. Blade has minor nicks from use, but edge remains sharp. The scabbard has a crack along the back that has been well repaired. Rattan wraps appear original.

OAL (in scabbard): 52 cm (20.5 in.)
Blade length: 32.5 cm (13.25 in.)
Hilt length: 13.25 cm (5.25 in.)

Asking USD 240.00 plus shipping/insurance via AUPOST.

Please note: My policy is to advertise items for sale firstly on this site at a discount, and if no response here then I will move it to eBay at a substantially higher price.
