Default Crude (but cool) Caribbean hanger

Here we have a very primitive blacksmith made cutlass/hanger of Caribbean origins. Knuckle bow is bent into a square grip, forming a vestigial quillon. The grip is ribbed iron, classic for maritime pieces. The 'clunky' abruptly curving blade solid despite pock marks and old corrosion. Dark black petina, aging based on style of grooved grip/knuckle bow shape perhaps late 18th/early 19th. Total length 26". This piece speaks to the days of the Slave trade and piracy! Buyer pays shipping-

$95.00
