Another observation/question: it is obvious that there is an inlayed strip running down the center line of the blade, is there not ?

If it won't show a pattern or signs of a twistcore then what the heck is it ???
Could it be that there is some other agent than the ones you have tried that might possibly bring out some detail in this strip ??
