Blunderbuss etching identification query

I would welcome suggestions on the originating culture of the etchings on this 18th C blunderbuss, puchased in the UK and believed to be English-made for the colonies.

The butt is carved with a rose on one side and swirls on the other and the stock includes ivory/bone/antler inlay. The barrel is extensive etched with three human-like figures with clubs and tails, and a dog.

This might belong more on the European arms forum, but we are more interested in identifying the ethnographic carvings. Any ideas?
