AN INTERESTING POST IT SOUNDS KIND OF LIKE THE OLD WEST. MOST PEOPLE WERE VERY POLITE WHEN EVERYONE WAS ARMED AND ONLY A FOOL WENT LOOKING FOR TROUBLE.
PERHAPS YOU HAVE SOME PICTURES TO ILLUSTRATE YOUR POINTS ON SOME OF THE STYLES AND TYPES AVAILABLE. BOTH COMMON WORKING MODELS AND TOP OF THE LINE ELITE EXAMPLES.
PUBLIC HUMILIATION WAS USED IN MANY SOCIETIES FOR CONTROL BUT THAT IS THE FIRST TIME I HAD HEARD OF LOCKING UP A MANS DAGGER (IE MANHOOD) FOR PUNISHMENT.
IS THERE ANY ATTACHMENT TO A MAN'S FIRST DAGGER OR DOES HE JUST HAND IT DOWN TO A FAMILY MEMBER AND BUY ONE OF BETTER QUALITY SUTIABLE TO HIS NEW SOCIAL RANK WHEN HE BECOMES MORE SUCESSFUL? DOES THE FAMILY HEIRLOOM PUSAKA TYPE OF THINKING APPLY TO YEMENI SOCIETY.?
