Default Dagger (Syrian?) for comment

Hi all,
Jim has asked that I post photos of items from my collection, so here is another one. I believe it to be Syrian, but am willing to be corrected. I think that the inlays on the handle are ivory and mother-of-pearl. The photos can at least go into the database for research.
Regards, Brian

Looks more like high quality bone than ivory to me. Yes it is Syrian, more recently made.

Yes Syrian, and more precisely, from Damascus
XIX or beginning XX century
may have a comparaison here

the black horn garnish the hit, it's from goat, very fine, and very delicate to work with

Dom, thank you for the reference to your link; fabulous daggers there. I have another one which looks very like one of the other daggers you pictured, and I will post pics on a separate thread .
Thanks heaps,
Brian
