Default INFORMATION SOUGHT ON MEXICAN CUTLASS

A FRIEND OF MINE IS LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON A MEXICAN CUTLASS HE IS CONSIDERING BUYING. IT IS 27 IN LONG, BLADE IS 22.5IN. LONG WITH A 9 IN FALSE EDGE NEAR THE TIP. IT HAS A VERY OLD PLAIN LEATHER SCABBARD 22.5IN. LONG IN VERY POOR SHAPE. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MEXICAN SWORDS BUT DID LOOK UP THE SYMBOL OF THE EAGLE ON A CACTUS IT LOOKS LIKE THE SYMBOL USED FROM 1823 TO 1845 . THERE ARE INITIALS ON THE BLADE (Por L. H.) I AM ASSUMING THE FIRST LETTER IS A P BUT IT COULD BE AN L AS IT IS VERY STYLIZED. IT IS VERY WELL MADE AND IS IRON OR STEEL THRU-OUT ALL METAL TAKES A MAGNET. THERE ARE 3 SECTIONS OF HORN IN THE GRIP. HE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT A FAIR PRICE IS SO IF SOMEONE HAS ANY IDEA SEND ME A P.M. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
