This just finished on eBay. Thought it may be African, cental 'rib; is 1/4" (approx, 7mm) blade 21" rat tail tang 5". There is two rows of dots along the centre.
Too much for a 'speclative' bid, but have my suspicions that it could be worth more than the final bid ![]() Would anyone have any ideas as to origin ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...9585&rd=1&rd=1 |

Looks very much like an east african spear head with a shovel profile But it has no socket for the haft. Strange item.
