It looks like a Maduran keris. Sheath is in a Maduran Ladrang form made of timoho wood. Overall, a pretty-looking keris.
![]() What is it that you want to know about your keris? |

Can you give a close up of the sorsoran* and a mid blade shot of the pamor ?
Not to mention a close up of the handle ? *(base of the blade) |

It looks to me that the wrangka is not timoho. I could see the flashing grain like kemuning wood. The contrast dark/black pattern on the wood I found here is not like a typical timoho.

http://old.blades.free.fr/keris/intr...a/warangka.htm That being said, this wood is sometimes faked with stains or paint. This is often easy to tell on close inspection. These photos are not very clear, so i wouldn't make any judgement from them. Age is always a difficult thing to pin down with keris, especially solely from photos and even more so when the photos aren't that clear. Your keris doesn't appear to be a modern age contemporary keris, but it also doesn't seem too old. Could be late 19th - early 20th century. ![]() It may just be the photos, but the hilt looks newer than the blade and the sheath. |

I'm pretty sure i agree with you Kai. I was just trying to cover all the bases. If this were faked it is very well done.

Also in my opinion the wood is Timoho. The kind of kayu timoho is incredible. Not only from wood to wood but also how you cut the wood (angle's cut)...sometimes also images or words appear
