I was watching this one hoping no one else saw it ~lol~ It looks like a nicely made blade that etching will reveal a nice layered pattern in |

Given recent prices for ivory-hilted kris this one was a relative steal. More in keeping with how these swords were valued a year or two ago. Maybe the mislabeling of this piece and the current depressed market in swords kept it from going higher. Like rhysmichael I had a small flutter on this one but did not come close. I did pick up its companion from the same dealer: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=005&item=150028410870 I think mine has some age although it needs a little care and attention. The small punto and the style of scabbard struck me as perhaps Yakan in origin -- any thoughts? Ian . Last edited by Ian; 8th September 2006 at 09:30 PM. |

Yeah I did see them both. Just not interested (actually don't have the money ). The first kris seems to be of a more recent time with possible exception of blade and wranga. The second I will have to do some digging (not with the kris though ). |
