Mecklenburg M1849 Artillery Saber

I picked up this sword at a show on Friday. I'm assuming it's private purchase since there's no proof marks or unit marks. There's no marker's mark either, unless it's really faint and hidden behind the rain guards.

I'm a bit out of my area on these. I know this model was in service for an especially long time, but can anyone help me narrow it down a bit?

It is marked! It appears to be marked AC, but the first character could be a poorly struck B.

Alexander Coppel? Someone else?
