Default Fishing spears from where W africa?

Hi,

I saw these in an antique shop over the weekend and took some quick, poor pictures on my phone.

Has anyone any idea as the where these may be from

looking at the decoration on the shaft I was guessing west African Mandinka

Regards,

Ken

These are not African but most probably Vanuatu or Solomon Isles or there abouts.

I have two. I think they are sold to tourists as much as they may be used for fishing. They are simple to make and function, so easy to be used as either souvenirs or fishing.
