Interesting crossguard

This is a classy shamshir, no doubt.
I am especially fascinated by the flamboyant crossguard: never seen one like it in any book on Turkish or Persian weapons.
Somehow, it rings a bell.
Polish? Hungarian?

yes The crossguard was extreamly heavy gilded. I do not see this type often. that one went to china

I liked it verry much, but forgot to bid.

I was also wondering about that style of crossguard, wich apears verry tastefull to my exes. The only other one I saw with that style is pictured in the polish book Orez Perski. I also think that it is eastern europe, polish origin.

Nice damascus pattern also, still regret for not getting that beauty.

Yes! That's where my mis-memory comes from! #147B has very similar crossguard. It is defined as Indo-Persian, but who knows? Another one, #120 is defined as Indo-Persian as well, but, IMHO, it is Georgian

Is it Kara Khorasan?
