Info on this fancy butcher knife??
I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about this butcher looking knife I believe is from the Balkans. It seems to Ben Bosnian but not sure. It has some nice fancy bone handle and a good quality heavy blade. It’s about 8 inches long. The handle is alike a Yatagan handle shape.

Why do you believe this is a "butcher's knife".

Old style p’chok possibly Uygher
This looks like a Pichoq (Bıçak) with the slightly up curving blade style of the Uyghers who have resided predominantly in the region known today as Uzbekistan, but extending into China as well as Afghanistan. The hilt is different from pichoq from other Turkmen regions (usually black). A clue is that Russians call this type of knife an “afghanka” on Russian language collector sites. It suggests to me that such knives may have been collected during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.
