I found this Kindjal dagger at an auction and the hammer price I was satisfied with (though knowing very little about these).
It looks to be of good quality with horn grip and sturdy blade with script. I have no idea if the script is readable or just decoration. OAL is 22 1/2" and blade is 16 7/8" long by 1 5/8" wide. Can anyone tell me the approximate age and country of origin? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Thanks Ariel with the ID I've been able to find it has a armour piercing blade.
Seems to be a basic dagger made for business. Would the blade markings be a makers mark? |

Most certainly.
This is a simple fighter, nothing decorative, all business. Locally, appearing in public without one would be equivalent to you or me going to a formal party without pants:-) |
