Books for Sale: Elgood, Allan, Norman

I'm parting with some of my treasured library, and I thought the forumites might be interested. All books are in very good, gently-used condition, complete with dust jackets. Buyer pays shipping costs. I'm attaching photos in separate posts.

Islamic Arms and Armour, Robert Elgood, Scolar Press, London, 1979. 252 pages, 252 photos (color and black-and-white). A must-have for anyone interested in the topic. My copy was signed by Mr. Elgood at the Baltimore Show in 2004 (he made it out to me). $350.

Persian Steel, The Tanavoli Collection, James Allan and Brian Gilmour, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 2000. 600 pages, 357 photos (black-and-white), 112 figures (many are additional photos). Not to be confused with James Allan's much shorter book, Persian Steel, Masterpieces of Iranian Art, published in 2006 by I.B. Taurus. This is a thick tome, containing examples of steelwork beyond arms and armor. Very hard to find. $350.

The Rapier and Small-Sword, 1460-1820, A.V.B. Norman, Arms and Armour Press and Arno Press; London, Melbourne, and New York; 1980. 464 pages, 155 photos (black-and-white), many line drawings. This is the first-print hardcover edition, not the more recent paperback reprint by Ken Trotman Publishing. $350.
