Default Amazonian or Melanesian ?

Hi

We don't see many bows on the forum, so thought I would post this one I got a little while ago. Its made of palmwood, so that probably means its from Melanesia or South America somewhere ?? Can anyone help out on this ?

The "string" is much thicker than on most of the tribal bows I have seen, looks as its been bound round the bow stave for a longish time, as its is a bit set in place.

Comments, ID etc welcome...
