Default Knife from europe

Hi
want to show you that were also produced in europe beautiful and interesting knife.
Here is my latest acquisition. I think that this knife came from the area around Sterzing (South Tyrol) and from the time between 1780 and 1850.

Handles are attached disks of cow horn with copper rivets.

Total length: 27.5 cm

Hi Chregu,
I really like utility/hunting type knives and this looks like a nice example. The tapered tang would suggest to me that this knife was intended for proper use as well as looking good. I tried to find other examples on the net, for a bit of comparison, but the only thing I could find that was relatively close in style was this 19thC French trousse in the Met. Great piece.
My Regards,
Norman.
