Default A new old Seme

Hello
First of all a good new year to all forum members.

I bought this Seme. What do you think of him? Is a bit different from the semes usually seen.

It is heavy and sharp, with a length of 65 cm. The sheath is a bit damaged, but appears to be Seme in good condition.

I would like to Have some information about this blade. Could any of you give me some idea as to possible age. Origin I think is Masai...

It was used for? Hunting or fighting? I do not think that it was used to cut bushes...

I would appreciate any comments or information you May Have.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Thumbs up

CONGRADULATIONS! A NICE OLD ONE WITH THE LARGE SIZE AND OLD STYLE BLADE THAT HAS THE SHAPE AND MID RIB OF THE MASSAI LION SPEAR. THE NEWER ONES ARE USUALLY SMALLER AND SOME DO NOT HAVE THE SAME SHAPE OR MID RIB OF THE OLDER ONES.
I AM NOT SURE IF THESE SEMI WERE USED FOR WORK AS WELL AS FIGHTING AND HUNTING. IT WOULD DEPEND ON IF THE WARRIORS DID WORK OR IF IT WAS LEFT UP TO THE WOMEN AND YOUNGER MEN WHO WERE NOT YET WARRIORS.

Could it be from the 19th/early 20th century?

best regards
