K Pasta folks!
I thought I would share with everyone a project I just finished for a Moro client here in the states. He is Maranao and wanted a Bugis keris scabbard made of padouk wood with Maranao silver fittings and a Maranao hilt of solid horn with Maranao brass inlay and a Bugis brass cup (ring of silver). Enjoy ![]() |

Thank you. This was a commision with lots of collaboration between the owner and me. My first time making a hilt like this let alone out of horn and brass, and first time making a selut cup. I also carved the small elephant nose at the base of the blade.
