Default Crazy Drumsticks

I got these drumsticks in a group lot and normally, that would be no big deal, however, one set is also a whistle; a very loud one I might add. I have been unable to find another example on the internet, nor information on them at various trusted resources, antique shops, or shows. It seems like a great idea; surely this can not be the only set..........or can it be?
Has anyone else seen anything like this???

You couldn't find any other examples? I just googles "Drumstick whistle".
I don't think these are made this way by any company, but others have had the same idea.

Great; now that we know that it isn't a new idea, we have to find the original application.
