Salaams!

The inscription is in Arabic, and it reads:

لا سيف الا ذو الفقار و لا فتى الا علي

Translation: "No sword could match Dhu'l-Faqar and no youth (champion) could match Ali."

Yet still, I need a clearer photo than this...please.

AhmedH,

You kindly translated the inscription. The rule on this forum is that when translation is requested the whole piece is shown.
In the first place it is the reward for the translator and second we all wish to learn and enjoy a nice weapon.

You are rather new here and enthousiastic, but you missed your reward and we the joy of looking at a nice weapon.

Salaams Henk,

Sorry that I didn't get this...I'm very sorry indeed. I just thought I would help the questioner; nothing more. As for being enthusiastic, I'd rather stick to being helpful; not really enthusiastic.

I repeat my apologies, but I have to admit that the questioner may not have provided the complete photos that you wanted.

Anyway, thanks for the advice!

Salaams AhmedH,

Please don't appoligize, that is not necessary.

Not only i want to see the entire weapon, we all want to see it

That you're helpful is great, but i do hope you're enthousiastic as well and will be in the future.

Warm regards, Henk
