Default Konda, Imoma, Bokala, Booli, what I have bought?

I really have to stop this. When I see something what seems good and cheap to my eyes I bid. I think it is from Congo, the seller stated it is Konda but I have found a similar knife on page 174 by "panga na visu" no. 404 described as efamba from the Imoma, Bokala or Booli. I think it has had once copper or brass bindings at the handle. Would like to read your comments on this knife, age, quality and exact orign when possible.

I've been wondering for some time when you would say this, Detlef .

There are worse addictions to have .

When I wouldn't sell from my collection from time to time it would not be possible. Thankfully I don't have other addicions.

The addiction where you buy over priced items because you can't resist and refuse to sell 99% of your collection (because you already did that to get it where it is) is much worse.

But onto the sword - I agree looks like it once had brass copper binding on the hilt. I have always seen these labelled as Konda. But there seems to be some variance in the form, some have more fullers/line decoration... Hopefully one of the Congo experts will be by with more answers! At the price you paid thought you can't really go wrong!

Thank you very much Luc! Any guess about the age? the ones you have schown look very nice and in much better condition. I know that you can't think by this that my one is much older but maybe by the form of the blade?

Regards, Detlef

This was the reason why I have given my bid but frankly said I don't have hoped to win it.

Regards,

Detlef
