				 | Barong Puhans (hilts)

Hi, I have three pieces of barong hilts. Wood is not Banati but of Philippine fruit trees santol and langka - both are the local choice replacements for scarce banati wood. Hilts are varnished and are without ferrules. Lenght is average 6.5 inches. Front end where the tang enters is about 1 inch in diameter. Price is $5 per puhan but I am selling these as a set, hence $15 for the three puhans. Shipping is $15 (combined weight is over half a kilo) from Zamboanga, Philippines via EMS (5 to 7 working days). Payment accepted is via www.xoom.com. xoom fee is $3.75 charged to the buyer. Payment link: https://www.xoom.com/pay/3191546 |

Z: Are these made locally by Yakan craftsmen? Just trying to place the style. The small space for a ferrule suggests Yakan to me. Ian. |
