Hi Guys,
Have had this helmet for some time, I have always assumed it is Indian and late 19th century with butted mail and of utility construction, that is, compared to the many ornate pieces I have seen on the net. I would be grateful if anyone could be more specific as regards age and origins. As usual all comments and opinions welcome. Regards, Norman. |

nasal appears thin & riveted by a single rivet, not slideable with a set-screw like most i've seen. single point fastening would allow it to swivel on the rivet which defeats the purpose of having it, other than for decoration that is.
