Default MANDAU SCABBARD WITH RARE BRASS PLATE

AN NICE MANDAU with very rare brass plate on it

Does any one see this before ???

Does the plate show any typical Dayak motifs?

Hi Kai and Michael here some more pics .

I think the Brass plate s maybe parts off chinese coins I don t now .
The handle also rare style .

The amulet is an piece of an bear jaw .

Too large for coins AFAIK. Probably some other gadget which found its way into Dayak hands?

If there is a hole in the center of the brass plate it could maybe be a flattened opium pipe fitting?

Half hole so far as I can see


Kai I don t now yet where its from rare carving on the scabbard I am still looking .
