Can someone recognize these gentlemen or guess what they are doing on a typical koummya blade? A mark of quality or something more interesting?
How about this eagle that appeared to be an old fingerprint before etching? I enjoy etching old blades

Interesting! Could you show us photos of the entire weapon?
The eagle looks American or, perhaps Mexican. Is there anything grasped in its talons? |

Andrew
Nothing in its talons. The eagle is ready to catch something. Maybe he does it in the next blade. Nothing special about the weapon. An old Moroccan koummya 45cm long, with a very good blade 25cm. It was rusty when I got it. Scabbard and hilt made with brass and silver. I wonder why someone etched all these. |

The guy looks to me as Napoleon the Third. The eagle reminds me of something, but I can't quite remember...

Rirvin, bravo!
The left face looks like Napoleon III, indeed. But the nose of the man in the right is not so "french" Also Moroco was occupied by France and Spain in 1902. Napoleon III had died in 1873.
