Default Briquet Sword Identification

I recently purchased a nice Briquet style hanger but it has a mark to the blade which I have been unable to identify.

I'd appreciate any help as it's not something I have seen before.

Thanks in advance.

this could be a infantry- or police sabre of the Kingdom of Saxony, the "FA" under crown was the monogram of King Friedrich August II. (1797-1854 or Friedrich Augus III. (1904-1918)

Apologies for the late reply, but thank you for the information. I'll do some research down this line and see what I can find.

Thanks.
