Just ended.
Yes, I know, it is not nice to make fun of foreigners' English. Half of the Forumites (myself included) do not view English as their native tongue. Still... There are some examples that make you laugh hysterically. Here is one for your vicarious enjoyment. Read the description. And remember: the price of this guitar is < $2, but S&H ... $345! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Have fun. |

I HAVE GOT TO GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR TRYING
![]() TO BE ABLE TO WRITE SO MANY OF THE TERMS, DESCRIPTION, SHIPPING, ECT IS QUITE A FEAT CONSIDERING THE LACK OF KNOWLEGE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. I COULD NEVER BE SO VERBOSE IN ANY OTHER LANGUAGE AND TRYING IT IN CHINESE EVEN WITH THE HELP OF BOOKS WOULD BE AN EVEN WORSE DISASTER FOR ME. I NEVER REALIZED THAT THE ELECTRIC GUITAR WAS AN OLD CHINESE ARTEFACT. LOL THEY DO HAVE SOME SWORDS AND STUFF ALSO |

I suspect the seller is using a translation program. I can't imagine some of those complex words being present in an inexperienced english speaker's lexicon.

Since this is an Ethnographic weapons forum, can I assume this piece is vintage American club or axe (as stated earlier)?
![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoy the Chinese initiative and trying to get something said, even if it did come out weird! Sometimes they use english words I have never heard. I got called a "Marplot" (officious busybody who wants to ruin someone) by a Chinese seller to whom I sent a well deserved negative. |
