WOW, very beautiful Italian (Roma?) rapier in an extremely good condition, maybe even a bit earlier +-c1560.
Blademark of Federico Piccinino, son of Antonio and brother of amourer Lucio. attached an allmost similar rapier from Armi Bianche Italiane. truly a high quality piece. best, jasper Last edited by cornelistromp; 7th November 2014 at 12:15 PM. |

As you may or may not know the rapier in all it's variations is one of my favorite swords, and that rapier is a masterpiece, it is extremely rare in any condition and this one is as good as it gets. Not only that it is also very elegant and of amazing craftsmanship ! Congratulations !! Ulfberth |

Thank you, Ulfberth! I too, am partial to rapiers, agree, they seem to represent the most successful combination of elegance and function.
