Default Unknown bow.

Maybe someone can help.
I get the bow out of a natural history museum.
But they had no idea about the origin and age.
Length 149 cm
Thanks Kurt

An over all image of the bow would probably be helpful in identification.

Kurt, I hope that you do not mind but I tried to get a better overall photo from your original. This was the best I could do.

With that red colour and the copious decoration, my best bet would be from Northern India somewhere, probably 19th century...

Hi Kurt

As far as I know, bows and arrows were not used in Borneo, but I could be mistaken on this point ?

Regards.

The paint work looks like it could be Central Asian perhaps even Mongolia? Archery is a big thing in parts of Central Asia.
