Question East African spear?

This is the spear I purchased last Thursday. If you look at the way the blade is fixed to the haft, it is very much like seme handles, being often bound and then covered with shrink to fit hide. Also unlike the classic East African spear this feels as if it could be thrown if the situation demanded. The total length is 171.5cm. I rather like the lovely clean roll of metal at the blunt end. As I say I think this is East African like the throwing club? Tim
