And I thought the Mandau were the only ones with real freaky faces...this is from a old Javanese Pedang Lurus...can anyone identify this fella in Javanese Mythos or Wayang?

The style is so universal isn't it? Reminds me of Roman designs and medieval for that matter... Really nice mate, can we see the rest? |

Or ancient Greek for that matter. Do you suppose there is any connection?

Connections are always interesting rabbit warrens to go down Gene and one I am unsure of....the Greek Key relief borders have always had me pondering too...Greek influenced Chinese or Chinese influenced Greek...one of those chicken egg quandaries...
