Default Unknow stone on kindjal

I picked up this kindjal. It's classical but i never seen this kind of stone set with gold

What a great piece!

The stone looks like a piece of carved colored glass, especially by the way the "stone" cracked.

I will check to see if it could be some other kind of stone with that kind of cracking, just in case.

Looks like coloured glass to me. I think copper with alkaline frit produces this colour?

Yes Tim, you are right - copper is a chemical component for this color.
