Hi all,
Is there anybody who has information about chinese characters in barung blades, based on info which is coming from old books? When searching the forum database I could only find suggestions. I want to find out more about these blades. Ofcourse suggestions and discussion are also appreciated. But post a passage of an old book about it, would be perfect! Regards, Maurice |

Maurice
I had one of these barongs years ago and had a friend translate the characters it basically refered to a store or shop but it really made little sense to my friend. So basically they are trade marks from the maker or supplier. |

I heard it several times allready from other collectors who tried, that those characters made little to no sense when translated.. ![]() Maurice |

Typically the Chinese made blades are of very good quality...at least the 5 or 6 I have seen.
