Default INTERESTING PRE-COLUMBIAN WARRIORS

I RECENTLY RAN ACROSS THESE TWO TERRACOTTA FIGURES OF VERA CRUZ WARRIORS. THEY ARE FROM THE EARLY POST CLASSIC PERIOD CA. 600 - 900 AD. AND ARE LARGE AT 26 AND 3/4 IN TALL. THEY HAVE A RETANGULAR FEATHERED SHIELD IN ONE HAND AND A ZOOMORPHIC HEAD IN THE OTHER HAND. IT IS UNKNOWN IF IT IS PURELY CEREMONIAL OR FOR A TYPE OF RITUAL COMBAT OR PERHAPS A REAL TYPE OF WEAPON. THE HEAD DOES LOOK LIKE IT COULD BE USED TO STRIKE WITH THE PROTRUDING EYES AND PERHAPS TO CUT WITH THE TEETH. INTERESTING ITEMS FROM A ETHINOGRAPHIC AREA WE SELDOM SEE.

Default MACES, ADDED TO THIS POST

THE FIRST MACE IS A COPPER MACE HEAD OF MOCHIE ORIGIN I HAVE NO MORE INFO ON IT.
THE SECOND MACE OR SEPTER HEAD IS STONE AND FROM COSTA RICA, NICOYA GROUP CA. 800 TO 1200 AD, IT IS 4 IN LONG AND REPRESENTS A ZOOMORPHIC FELINE HEAD.
THE THIRD ONE IS A INCA STONE MACE BUT I HAVE NO MORE INFO.

THE FORTH ONE IS ANOTHER NICOYA SPECIMIN OF THE SAME PERIOD AND COUNTRY, 4 IN. LONG IT REPRESENTS A ZOOMORPHIC HEAD, PROBABLY HUMAN.
THE FIFTH ONE IS A CHAVIN STONE MACE HEAD WITH SIX SWIRLED CRESENT BLADES, CA. 200 B.C.
I ALSO SENT A PICTURE OF A CHIMU COPPER AX WITH A CRESCENTIC COPPER BLADE WITH A SERRATED EDGE.THE WOOD POLE IS 42 IN AND THE BLADE 6 AND 3/4 IN. CA. 800 T0 1200 AD.
IT IS OFTEN SUPRIZING THE GOOD CONDITION IN WHICH SOME OF THE ARTEFACTS ARE FOUND. CENTRAL AND SOUTH AMERICA HAVE REVEALED SOME VERY GREAT ARCHEOLOGICAL FINDS. THEY ARE ALSO RICH IN ETHINOGRAPHIC MATERIAL. PERHAPS SOMEONE ELSE HAS SOME PICTURES THAT WOULD FIT IN WITH THIS POST. HINT HINT
