Default Heavy Stone headed axe origin unknown

Hi all. Picked this axe up amongst a small collection of swords and would like to know more about its origins type of stone , shaft material , . Many thanks shinyblades

Very nice. I think it is South American. I hope to add pictures. The shape of the stone is atypical of PNG. Looks good to swing.
